six months after our amazing wedding, my husband {greg} and i were able to take our honeymoon to beautiful jamaica!! since we both have jobs that are very demanding in the summer, we were forced to wait until the winter. this was my first time out of the states and greg’s third, and our first official vacation more than three days as a couple of 10 years!

the trip would not have been nearly as luxurious if it was not for gregs client who owns ovation travel. the president and his assistant were able to really point us in the right direction on where to go and also where to book. so incredibly happy that we listened to all their wonderful advice! we stayed at secrets wild orchid montego bay in the preferred club which included:

  • Elegant accommodations with stunning views
  • Welcome cocktail and cool towel
  • Gourmet dining at nine on-site restaurants
  • Full breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks each day
  • 24-hour room service
  • Complimentary mini-bar refreshed daily
  • Unlimited premium drinks at nine bars and lounges
  • Oceanfront bars and entertainment venues
  • Pool and beach wait service
  • No reservations at restaurants
  • All taxes and gratuities

and much, much more…but even as superb as the amenities were nothing beats the hospitality in jamaica! we also went 2 weeks before christmas so it was extra special with the resort decorated jamaica-style 🙂 the trip was everything we could have asked for and more…we would certainly go back to the same exact location in a heart beat!

our honeymoon was the start of what now i am obsessed with…traveling! besides florida and the tri-state area i had never really traveled much before jamaica but i plan to do it much more often.

do you travel often and where have you traveled throughout your life? i would love inspiration on places to go within the united states and internationally!

My husband and I have pretty much confined our travels to Texas, where we live, but we DID go to Las Vegas for our honeymoon! It was heavenly and very different from where we normally live. We are actually moving to FL this summer! Any suggestions for places we should visit?

Thanks for sharing on Hump Day Happenings!

Sounds like a lovely honeymoon and a great resort. I love traveling and have recently made it one of my priorities. We travel a lot around Florida and lately I have been traveling a bit more outside of the State but really want to travel internationally. As a teen I traveled to Europe and then again in college, I also traveled to South American and was born in Central America so I have been to many Central American Countries and Mexico. I hope to go to Turkey and Greece next year and Asia and and Africa in the next 5 years, those are my goals anyway. 🙂
